2nd SU “Akad. Emiliyan Stanev” is a state school located in Sofia, Bulgaria. Attended by nearly 1490 students, it combines the three educational stages – primary, middle and high school. 2 nd SU works in cooperation with Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and is also a member of Bulgaria’s Cambridge Schools Association. English is being taught in all grades while high school students can choose between Spanish, German or Russian as their second foreign language. They also have various elective subjects such as Journalism, Tour Guiding, Entrepreneurship and Business. The school is run under the motto “We learn today to succeed tomorrow” by its principal and project manager Dr. Eleonora Lilova.
